About us
My journey with dogs began in childhood, when after much convincing, my parents allowed me to have my first “real” animal companion – an English Cocker Spaniel named Denny. After hamsters and gerbils, it was a big step, one that changed my whole world. He wasn’t always easy—he had a strong personality. But he was also a little magician. He got lost twice in his life, and each time he somehow made his way home, even from faraway places. It was as if he had a compass inside him that always led him back to us.
My second canine companion was my unforgettable dog Číča, whom I brought home from a study stay in Spain. She was born to my friend’s dog, but was stolen from him. By chance, we found her some time later—and had to “buy her back.” At the time, we were just setting off on a road trip through Spain and Portugal, so she came along—with the idea that maybe we’d find someone on the way who could give her a new home. But we never parted again.
Číča was more than a dog. She was my partner on the road, in life decisions, in joy and in sorrow. She traveled with me across half of Europe and gave me an incredible sense of safety. When she eventually crossed the rainbow bridge, she left behind an emptiness that couldn't be filled right away. I hoped that the right dog would come into my life again.
In the meantime, I continued breeding Siamese and Oriental cats. Then one day—while handing over a kitten to its new owners—they stepped out of the car with a Borzoi. And I fell in love… with that long, noble nose. But I knew I needed a different kind of dog to fit in with my other animals. And then I discovered her: the Smooth Collie. And everything became clear.
I told myself I’d wait a little longer… that it wasn’t the right time… And then I found myself writing to a Smooth Collie breeder, asking if she had a female puppy available.
And so, a new chapter began.
